The WAREhouse Survival Guide
(For First-Time Shoppers and the Brave of Heart)
So… you’re coming to The WAREhouse for the first time.
Welcome. We’re thrilled. And also slightly concerned for your self-control. 😉😆
This is not a place for the weak. Or the overly indecisive. Or people who say things like, “I’m just looking.” But don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. Consider this your official WAREhouse Survival Guide.
1. Dress Like You Might Fall in Love
This is not a “cute shoes only” situation.
You’ll be walking hard floors, weaving through furniture, crouching to inspect drawers, and dramatically stepping back to feel the vibe of a piece. Wear something comfortable. Layers are smart. Shoes you can move in are smarter.
Bonus points if you’re dressed for:
Sitting on chairs “just to test them”
Spontaneously carrying a mirror across the room
Sweating a little while pretending you’re not
2. Measuring Is Helpful. Overthinking Is Not.
Yes, knowing your measurements is great.
No, it will not stop you from falling in love with something that technically does not fit.
Here’s the truth:
If a piece speaks to your soul, you will make it work.
Entry table becomes a nightstand. Desk becomes a vanity. Dresser becomes… something you didn’t plan but now can’t live without.
Bring a tape measure—but also bring imagination.
(We actually have you covered there too, we have measuring tapes you can use!)
3. You Will Say “I Don’t Need This”
You’re lying to yourself.
The correct phrase is:
“I didn’t know I needed this until right now.”
This happens quickly. One minute you’re browsing. The next, you’re emotionally attached to a piece of furniture you’ve known for seven minutes. Totally normal. Happens daily.
4. Good Bones Matter More Mass Produced Pieces
At The WAREhouse, we love character, not perfection.
Chipped paint? Fine.
Patina? Even better.
Solid wood? YES.
We’ll help you spot the difference between:
“Has seen some life”
and “Should have stayed on Amazon”
Ask questions. Open drawers. Wiggle things (politely). This is a safe space.
5. If You Love It, Someone Else Will Too
This is your gentle warning.
If you find something and think, “I’ll come back for it later,” just know—someone else is already eyeing it. Our pieces wait for no one…so GRAB THAT TAG!
We’ve seen it happen.
We’ve comforted people about it.
We cannot resurrect sold furniture.
If it feels like the one, trust your gut.
6. Follow the Rule of Instant Visualization
If you can picture it in your space—buy it.
If you start saying things like:
“I can see this by my front door…”
“This would look so good with my rug…”
“I could just move the table I already have…”
That’s your sign.
Your brain has already moved it in. Don’t leave it behind.
7. Ask for Help (We Love That)
Not sure what something could be?
Not confident in styling it?
Need reassurance that you’re not crazy for loving a weird floral chair?
That’s literally why we’re here.
We will hype you up, help you envision it, and gently tell you when something is—or isn’t—the right fit.
Final Survival Tip
Come with an open mind.
Leave with something you didn’t plan on.
Repeat often.
The WAREhouse isn’t just a place to shop—it’s an experience. A little chaotic, very inspiring and full of pieces waiting for the right home.
We’re glad you’re here.
And we apologize in advance for what you’re about to fall in love with.
