Our process…
We get asked A LOT about our process!
“Where do you find all your stuff?”
“Who does all the work to refinish the furniture?”
“How are your prices so low?”
And on the flip side… “Will you take less for this?”
So, lets answer some of those questions!
We are only open for business on Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week BECAUSE the rest of the days of the week we each (7 furniture vendors) are out searching thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales, auctions, Marketplace and your neighbor’s best friend’s great-grandma’s house from here to Boise, North and South Utah, Jackson Hole and Las Vegas for things to resell, refinish or restore! And…this leads to the next question!
Who does all the work? WE DO ALL THE WORK! (insert laughing emoji) The 7 of us spend hours upon hours in our individual garages, cleaning, sanding, fixing, repairing, re-repairing, painting, clear coating and installing new hardware on the things we found that week. PLUS we have to have everything finished, loaded up and hauled to the store so that we can spend all day Wednesday setting up to begin the weekend of business open to the public! GEEZ!!!! So….
HOW ARE OUR PRICES SO LOW? Because we are dumb! HAHAHA Just kidding, kind of… we keep our prices as low as we possibly can for the sole purpose of making sure YOU can afford the things you love!
And finally… “Will you take less for this?” It never hurts to ask, right!? Sometimes if a specific piece has been on the floor for a long period of time and needs to move, we LOVE to make a deal with you! However, if you’ve read this far you will understand the amount of work it takes to find these pieces, move them around, fix them, paint them and set them up. Not to mention the fact that we each pay rent for our spaces (overhead), PLUS we have the cost of everything from the piece itself (have you been to a thrift store lately!??? Prices are out of control), to fuel, paint, clear coat, new hardware, etc. PLUS PLUS we have hours and hours and hours of physical labor into each piece as well as into research and experience to bring you the best and most current designs possible! THATS HOW MUCH WE LOVE YOU!
So, next time you ask for some money off and if the answer happens to be no…you can understand why that is. And if it’s still there in 3 months, ask again!
